A nice weekend this has been, the start of my three week summer holiday. We got a visit from my lil'sis and her friend and spent Saturday night barbequeing. Yummy foods and wines, I especially recommend the Italian organic white wine 'Bianco di Custoza Terre in Fiore', it was a reasonably priced nice, quite mild wine that suited well with the salads we had for first course. Second course was grilled pork fillét which ofcourse was accompanied with a nice red wine.
The evening was nice, we ate and talked about things serious and not so serious and laughed a lot. The weather didn't treat us so much, it was windy and not so warm, but we wrapped up in blankets and wore woollen sweaters. One might ask: summer? where art thou? After it started raining we went inside and took a battle in singstar. My flu and sore throat actually made it easier to sing the higher notes. But there wasn't many notes coming out of my mouth this morning after that singfest. Just as well, as we were greeted with roaming thunder that lasted for hours, the water came down so hard it was flooding the driveway.
I took a picture of that flood, but cannot upload it, because this computer is on loan. Ours is still being mended, hopefully it'll come back soon.
I'm off to spend my summer holiday relaxing, flea market sourcing, some knitting and sewing and hopefully some really hot weather.
